Roasted Molybdenum Concentrate, also called Technical Molybdenum Oxide, is an intermediate product obtained by roasting Molybdenum Disulphide (MoS₂) concentrates (typically 85–92% MoS₂ with 35–37% sulphur) in air. The process produces a material with around 57% minimum molybdenum and less than 0.1% sulphur. Globally, a significant share of this product is further processed into ferromolybdenum (30–40%) and into chemical derivatives such as pure molybdic oxides and molybdates (25–30%).
